सुबाथू गोरखा समाज सभा ने शहीद मेजर गोरखा दुर्गा मल्ल को उनके बलिदान दिवस पर दी श्रद्धांजलि|

शहीद मेजर दुर्गा मल्ल की पुण्यतिथि पर गोरखा समाज सभा सुबाथू ने उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी। कोरोना के कारण सरकारी गाइड लाइन के मुताबिक शहीदी दिवस को सादगी से मनाया गया।
गोरखा समाज के प्रधान रती राम और उप-प्रधान दीपक तमाँग ने शहीद मेजर दुर्गा मल्ल के जीवन पर प्रकाश डाला उन्होंने कहा की मेजर दुर्गा मल्ल आज़ाद हिंद फौज के प्रथम गोरखा सैनिक थे। उन्होंने युवाओं को आज़ाद हिंद फौज में शामिल करने में बड़ा योगदान दिया। बाद में गुप्तचर शाखा का कार्य उन्हें सौंपा गया। 27 मार्च 1944 को महत्वपूर्ण सूचनाएं एकत्र करते समय दुर्गा मल्ल को शत्रु सेना ने कोहिमा के पास उखरूल में पकड़ लिया।
शत्रु सेना की ओर से युद्धबंदी बनाने और मुकदमे के बाद उन्हें काफी यातनाएं दी गई। 15 अगस्त 1944 को उन्हें लाल किले की सेंट्रल जेल लाया गया और दस दिन बाद 25 अगस्त 1944 को फांसी के फंदे पर चढ़ा दिया गया।
केंद्र सरकार ने शहीद दुर्गा मल्ल की शहादत को नमन करते हुए संसद भवन में उनकी कास्य प्रतिमा स्थापित की है|
श्रद्धांजलि कार्यक्रम में शहीद सुदेश ठाकुर की धर्मपत्नी श्रीमति मंजूबाला और शहीद बाबू राम की धर्मपत्नी श्रीमती अनीता नेगी बतौर मुख्यातिथि को स्मृति चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया गया|
साथ ही कक्कड़हट्टी पंचायत के प्रधान रोशन लाल,जाडला पंचायत के उप-प्रधान हेमंत ठाकुर(मित्ती) और शडीयाना पंचायत के उप-प्रधान हरदेव ठाकुर बतौर अतिथि शामिल रहे|
इस अवसर पर बच्चों नें लघु नाटक के माध्यम से वीर शहीद के जीवन और बलिदान पर रोशनी डाली|
गोरखा समाज सभा की मुख्य सलाहकार और जाडला पंचायत की प्रधान नें भी इस अवसर पर उनके बलिदान पर प्रकाश डाला|
