मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर की अध्यक्षता में आज शिमला में प्रदेश मंत्रिमण्डल की बैठक ने केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्रालय और केन्द्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा निर्धारित मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया का पालन करते हुए प्रदेश में कन्टेन्मेंट जोन से बाहर 9वीं से 12वीं कक्षा तक के विद्यार्थियों के लिए शैक्षणिक संस्थानों को अनुमति प्रदान की। इस निर्णय के अनुसार, शैक्षणिक संस्थानों को 50 प्रतिशत शिक्षकों और गैर- शिक्षक कर्मचारियों के साथ 21 सितम्बर, 2020 से खोलने को अपनी स्वीकृति प्रदान की गई है। इसके लिए विद्यार्थियों के अभिभावकों अथवा संरक्षकों की सहमति अनिवार्य होगी।
बैठक में लोक निर्माण विभाग में सात कनिष्ठ अभियन्ताओं (आईटी) को उनकी शैक्षणिक योग्यता के आधार पर 23 नवम्बर, 2015 से नियमित करने का निर्णय लिया है, जिन्हें पूर्व में बतौर कम्प्यूटर आॅप्रेटर्ज नियमित किया गया था।
मंत्रिमण्डल ने जिला मण्डी के थुनाग स्थित राजकीय वानिकी एवं बागवानी महाविद्यालय में शैक्षणिक सत्र 2020-21 से वानिकी विषय में बीएससी (आॅनर्ज) आरम्भ करने को भी स्वीकृति प्रदान की।
