मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने हिमाचल प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री वीरभद्र सिंह के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया।
जय राम ठाकुर ने पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री के निजी आवास होली लाॅज पहुंचकर वीरभद्र सिंह के पार्थिव शरीर पर पुष्पाजंलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री की धर्मपत्नी प्रतिभा सिंह और उनके बेटे विक्रमादित्य सिंह के साथ अपनी गहरी संवेदनाएं व्यक्त कीं।
जय राम ठाकुर ने कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश के विकास में वीरभद्र सिंह का अनुकरणीय योगदान है। वीरभद्र सिंह ने अपना पूरा जीवन समाज के हर वर्ग विशेषकर कमजोर और शोषित वर्गों के उत्थान के प्रति समर्पित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि वीरभद्र सिंह ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री रहते हुए देश के साथ-साथ राज्य के विकास में भी अहम भूमिका निभाई। उनकी मजबूत इच्छाशक्ति, प्रतिबद्धता और दृढ़ संकल्प हम सभी के लिए सदैव प्रेरणा का स्रोत रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि वीरभद्र सिंह के निधन से उत्पन्न शून्य को आने वाले समय में भरना मुश्किल होगा।
मुख्यमंत्री ने परमात्मा से दिवंगत आत्मा की शान्ति और शोक संतप्त परिजनों को इस अपूर्णीय क्षति को सहन करने की शक्ति प्रदान करने की प्रार्थना की।
शहरी विकास मंत्री सुरेश भारद्वाज, भाजपा प्रदेशाध्यक्ष सुरेश कश्यप, वरिष्ठ भाजपा और कांग्रेस नेताओं ने भी होली लाॅज पहुंचकर वीरभद्र सिंह के पार्थिव शरीर पर पुष्पाजंलि अर्पित की।
हिमाचल प्रदेश मंत्रीमंडल के सभी सदस्यांे ने भी पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री वीरभद्र सिंह के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया।
